“Tesla is not a niche. The Model 3 is a large series model and they are one of the largest electric car battery manufacturers. We have great respect for Tesla. “This is a competitor we take very seriously,” the CEO said.
Volkswagen CEO Herbert Diess’s words are not just baseless praise. He said this after seeing a strong recovery in the stock market. For example, on Thursday of this week, TSLA stock rose more than 17%. The biggest jump in increases in a period of 6.5 years. This condition automatically means that Tesla has reclaimed its market capitalization of USD 54 billion. Which makes Tesla the most prominent automaker by valuation in the US. Even Tesla beats GM with a lead of USD 3 billion lower.
Apart from these conditions, actually support for Tesla did not only come from the CEO of VW defending Tesla this time. Some time ago, the CEO of Porsche also praised Tesla’s development . Even Porsche revealed that it is possible that Tesla will succeed in creating a car with a travel range of 1000 km on one battery charge.
