The source of the sound is primarily the sound of wind flowing through door seals and other uninsulated areas. The faster the Model 3 moves, the more wind noise is felt. Musk did not specify what changes Tesla would make. Musk previously floated the idea of a sound system that adjusts things like volume but this actually makes cabin noise worse. Tesla will address this problem right at the source by completely eliminating it.
